Our monthly event with a focus on food, wine and the best Jazz in the city returns to the Cellar Door. Upfront, uptempo, a reset on Jazz as you know it, think Yussef Kamaal, Kamasi Washington et al alongside the music of Blue Note Records, Prestige and Impulse! with complete reinterpretations of Jazz standards to the progressive sounds of the contemporary global movement. This month we welcome Camino, a trio featuring Daniel Pliner (keys), Giorgio Rojas (percussion) and Adam Ventoura (electric bass) who's sound covers all sorts of musical territory from Afro-Peruvian rhythms to Latin and Tropical workouts through to modern Jazz, Hip Hop and Beats with heavy leanings on improvisation. The group will play two sets moving through various vibes, taking you on a musical trip around the globe stopping along the way at multiple destinations. Resident DJ Tom Studdy will also be on selections, joining the dots between old and new sounds. Entry is free so get down early to guarantee a spot for this special musical journey.
